Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) on 3rd Floor at Misericordia Health Centre (Winnipeg) provides professional nursing care for patients, including those with complex health needs. Responsibilities include independent nursing care, administration of prescribed treatments, leadership within the healthcare team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. Must uphold standards of practice, ethics, and region/unit policies; requires strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and ability to function in a demanding environment. CPR training and CRNM registration are required; Indigenous language skills and knowledge of Indigenous customs are preferred. This in-person role is part-time (0.70 FTE) with day/evening/weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Post-basic program may be required
- CPR training in accordance with employer policy
- Ability to work with a healthcare team and coordinate patient care and discharge
- Demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge and adherence to RHPA and PHIA/WHMIS standards
- Experience: recent, related experience asset (up to 2 years may be required or preferred)
- Indigenous language competency and knowledge of Indigenous customs are preferred
