Job Summary
RN in the Minor Injury & Illness Clinic provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex health needs. Responsibilities include independent nursing tasks, administering prescribed treatments, assuming a leadership role within the healthcare team, coordinating patient care and discharge, delivering primary healthcare access, health education, chronic disease management, and linking clients with resources. Focus is on high-quality, evidence-based nursing within an interdisciplinary team to support health promotion, illness prevention, and palliation as part of primary care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
- CRNM registration or eligibility
- CPR training as per employer policy
- ACLS preferred and to be provided by employer (certificate within 1 year)
- Desirable: Indigenous language competence or knowledge of Indigenous customs (preferred)
- Mental Health First Aid preferred
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training preferred
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license (if required)
