Job Summary
Create toolpaths for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling and mill-turn machines using CAD/CAM software like Mastercam, CATIA, or Siemens NX. Analyze 3D CAD models to determine efficient machining sequences and design custom fixtures for aerospace components. Conduct machine simulations to verify error-free toolpaths before physical production, then refine programs to reduce cycle times and improve tool life. Document setup sheets and tool lists to guide machinists while troubleshooting programming issues during setup and mentoring operators on the shop floor. Work on either Shift A (7:00 am to 4:30 pm) or Shift C (Friday through Sunday, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm) in Iuka, MS, with a requirement for U.S. Government clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Masters degree
- 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM)
- Expert ability to interpret complex technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols
- Foundation in Trigonometry and Geometry for calculating complex cutting paths and angles
- Understanding of G-code, M-code, and post-processing
- Expertise in machining aerospace composites and alloys (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum)
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance and Special Program Access (PAR)

- 10% of the Time travel
- Availability for Shift A (7:00 am to 4:30 pm)
- Availability for Shift C (Friday, Sat & Sunday 7:00am to 7:30pm)
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards and export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- Associate's degree in a mechanical or machining related curriculum
- 6 years of machining and programming experience
