Job Summary
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC and manual skin-milling machines to produce precision aircraft components. Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and CNC programs; install fixtures and tooling; secure and position parts; verify dimensional accuracy with precision measuring instruments. Operate machines, load/unload tools, and adjust controls; coordinate with lower-graded employees for setup and operation; handle hazardous materials per MSDS and maintain required certifications. Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while meeting production targets in a 100% onsite fabrication environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience setting up and operating Manual and CNC machines
- 2+ years of experience using precision measuring tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)
- 2+ years of experience with software applications (internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized applications)
- 2+ years of experience working with powered hand tools
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematics and diagrams
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods
- Comfort working onsite in an industrial environment
- Export Control compliance: US Person required
- Shift flexibility and ability to work various shifts
