Job Summary
Numeracy Coach to empower teachers by analyzing data to differentiate instruction, track trends, and guide instructional decisions; assist in planning lessons and interpreting formative and summative assessments; collaborate with teachers to ensure Everyday Mathematics/SC Standards are taught with fidelity; provide professional development on research-based instructional strategies and district programs (Gizmos, Everyday Mathematics, Curriculum Mapping, Number Worlds, graphing calculators); co-teach/model lessons, act as liaison between school and district, observe and provide feedback to support instruction; 195 workdays with Exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid South Carolina Professional teaching certificate or be able to obtain one within 60 days from being hired
- Must be Highly Qualified in the content area or be able to become Highly Qualified within 60 days from being hired
Desired Qualifications
- South Carolina Professional teaching certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Highly Qualified in content area or ability to become Highly Qualified within 60 days
- Master's degree preferred in Elementary/Middle School or Math (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
