Job Summary
Track and trend nuclear safety performance, support engineering system design evaluations, and prepare problem disposition reports and Unreviewed Safety Question screenings. Review and draft new or revised Safety Basis documents while providing technical support to team members. Maintain knowledge of safety policies and regulations, actively participate in Safety Work Groups, and perform assigned duties in environmental restoration atmospheres with potential exposure to hazardous materials. Requires L or Q clearance within one year of hire, pre-employment physical, and drug screen. Start within 30 days at Southern Ohio Cleanup Company LLC.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related field
- 1 year of related experience
- 3 years of related experience
- Radiological training
- Ability to obtain/maintain 'L' or 'Q' Clearance, or HSPD12 Uncleared badge one year from hire date
- Ability to wear respirator and other protective equipment to enter various types of potentially hazardous areas
- Ability to carry instruments/equipment or tools while walking extensively
- Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to perform medium work, exerting more than 20 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to work in confined areas, tanks, heat stress conditions, high noise and areas with radiation and chemical hazards
- Ability to work in weather or temperature extremes, inclement weather
- Ability to drive or ride in a motor vehicle
- Ability to operate company vehicle
- Adherence to all safety and DOT regulations and procedures
