Nuclear Radioisotope Production Specialist 1

Job Summary

Execute production of medical radioisotope products including raw material preparation, handling production targets, operating radiation detectors, and commissioning new equipment. Maintain compliance with cGMP practices by participating in quality training, event retrospectives, and periodic reviews of manufacturing procedures. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and PPE while handling and processing radioactive waste in adherence to safety protocols. Prepare cold materials such as radium targets and detectors, ensuring accurate, reproducible record-keeping throughout all operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in nuclear engineering, applied physics, or related field
  • Equivalent Experience: High school diploma with 2-4 years of industry experience
  • Equivalent Experience: Associate degree with 1-2 years of industry experience
  • Courses/degree in STEM field (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)
  • Physics, engineering, nuclear sciences, or related field
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 1+ years of experience in nuclear engineering, applied physics, or related field
  • Experience in a chemical laboratory, radiological facility, or related field
  • 1+ years' experience working with any or all of the following: Radioactive material, Ongoing/routine production, cGMP regulated work
  • Trained forklift operator
  • Ability to lift or move products and supplies, up to 50 pounds
  • Full-time position
  • Monday thru Friday 6a - 6p with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
  • This position will be assigned to a shift rotation
  • Travel between locations is expected in the role
