Job Summary
Engineering Consultant for Nuclear Programs/BOP: Provide subject-matter expertise in Balance of Plant asset life-cycle management, FAC program support, flaw evaluations under ASME Code Case N-513, AMPs for license renewal, and integration with MAPPro software. Lead or support proposals and client engagements; collaborate across SIA’s Nuclear unit to deliver turnkey FAC, CP, flaw evaluation, soil corrosivity, and program-management solutions. Requires a BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering (master’s/PE preferred), 7+ years in nuclear plant program support, FAC experience, ASME XI/Code Case N-513 knowledge, AMPs experience, MAPPro familiarity, strong technical writing/presentation skills, and travel up to ~15%.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering or similar discipline
- Master’s degree, PMP, and/or MBA desired
- Professional Engineering (PE) Licensure or ability to obtain PE license desired
- 7+ years of relevant experience in engineering program support for operating nuclear plants
- Experience with FAC programs (e.g., FAC Manager, CHECWORKS) and BOP systems
- Working knowledge of ASME Section XI and Code Case N-513
- Experience developing or implementing AMPs for LR/SLR
- Familiarity with MAPPro or similar asset management software
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards and criteria
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 15%+
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Strong client interface and project management skills
- Ability to deliver presentations confidently
- Independent/self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks
