Job Summary

Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer for the nuclear power sector in a direct-hire, in-house role with remote flexibility and occasional site visits. You will develop pipe stress models and review complex calculations across PWR and BWR reactor types, using the Standard Design Process (SDP) to create modifications, P&IDs, and isometrics, and to prepare piping specifications in accordance with code requirements. You’ll lead small-to-medium projects or serve as technical lead on complex projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies. Candidates should have ABET-accredited mechanical or civil/structural engineering degrees, 5+ years of pipe stress experience, knowledge of ASME/B31.1 and related codes, proficiency with AutoPIPE and SuperPipe, strong technical writing, and the ability to work with high autonomy. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5+ years of relevant mechanical design & pipe stress analysis experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical & nuclear codes, standards, and regulations that apply to the design of nuclear power plants (ME101, ASME, B31.1)
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Hands-on experience with Pipe Stress Analysis software and/or analysis techniques (AutoPIPE & SuperPipe)
  • Proven ability to deliver work with a high degree of accuracy, detail, and independence
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future
