Job Summary

Develop physical security programs and regulatory documentation for nuclear reactor projects, ensuring design and licensing strategies comply with NRC requirements. Implement access authorization and fitness-for-duty protocols across construction, fuel delivery, and operations phases. Conduct nuclear security assessments, coordinate with engineering teams on design changes, and prepare technical reports for regulatory interactions. Serve as a security liaison to internal stakeholders, partners, and contractors while supporting program audits and training delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited University
  • 15 years direct experience developing and implementing nuclear security programs in operating plants and / or nuclear new-built projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge and compliance with US NRC 10 CFR Regulations and the application of US NRC and Nuclear Energy Institute guidance related to 10 CFR regulations and their implementation
  • Experience with developing nuclear physical security program implementation strategies, project plans, and physical security design concepts
  • Demonstrated experience developing security programs during the phases of new plant nuclear plant construction through operation of new nuclear plant construction
  • Knowledge of current trends and nuclear industry activities related to physical security program implementation
  • Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to perform assigned duties and manage deadlines with minimal direction
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional
  • Ability to work on simultaneous tasks that require a multi-disciplinary approach
  • Experience in interactions with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff
  • Project management experience, to include the use of project management tools, and the capability and willingness to assume full responsibility for a project task
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork
  • Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience criteria applicable to the role, including relevant nuclear industry experience where required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
