Job Summary
Nuclear Pharmacist II leads and coordinates day-to-day operations of the nuclear pharmacy, supervising a team of direct reports and drivers to ensure safe, efficient, compliant delivery of radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to hospitals and clinics. Responsibilities include compounding nuclear medications, quality testing via chromatography, directing distribution, managing inventory and orders, optimizing staffing and scheduling, and partnering with suppliers and vendors for drug components. The role supports cost reduction, efficiency, and patient outcomes while maintaining Federal/state regulatory compliance. Requires licensed nuclear pharmacist (PharmD or bachelor’s in Pharmacy) with ability to travel as needed; capable of lifting up to 55 pounds; flexible for varied shifts, on-call, weekends, and holidays; strong customer service and communication skills; and basic computer proficiency. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Valid Pharmacist’s license in the state in which the pharmacy operates, or in process of obtaining
- Must complete at least 200 hours of academic training in a nuclear pharmacy through an accredited program
- Working knowledge of biohazardous waste management procedures
- Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly to communicate with customers and health care professionals
- Manual dexterity for dispensing doses; ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Willingness to travel; valid driver's license; comfortable driving in all weather
- Intermediate computer skills (computers and tablets)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
- Nuclear Pharmacy Training can be provided
- Nuclear Pharmacy experience preferred
