Job Summary
Coordinate patient scheduling, documentation, and flow in collaboration with technologists and nurses. Perform clerical functions including maintaining patient history worksheets, entering provider orders in Meditech, and validating charge reconciliation. Assist with patient preparation, transport, and teaching, while maintaining unit cleanliness and stocking supplies. Safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols. Maintain open communication channels with the healthcare team and utilize appropriate interpersonal skills. This role supports efficient departmental operations within Memorial Health System's Nuclear Medicine department.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology or nuclear medicine
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RQI
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and patient safety practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to accurately enter patient information, charges, and provider orders
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
