Job Summary
Coordinate patient scheduling, documentation, and transport while assisting technologists with patient preparation, unit cleanliness, and supply stocking. Perform clerical duties including Meditech scheduling, charge reconciliation, and entering provider orders. Safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and maintain infection control and radiation safety protocols. Facilitate communication between departments and assist with patient/family teaching. Requires high school diploma, one year healthcare experience, and BLS certification. Full-time biweekly schedule at Memorial Health System.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting
- Current enrollment in an accredited radiologic technology or nuclear medicine
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RQI
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and patient safety practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team members
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to accurately enter patient information, charges, and provider orders
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as a team
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
