Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Full-Time) in Douglasville, GA. Responsible for performing a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals per department protocol, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and delivering high-quality diagnostic studies. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, positioning patients, verifying orders, obtaining clinical histories, applying sterile technique, maintaining equipment, restocking and complying with Joint Commission standards, documenting procedures in RIS/PACS, communicating with physicians and patients, participating in staff training, and supporting other modalities as needed. Requires graduation from an AMA Nuclear Medicine Program, ARRT CNMT or equivalent, BLS, and at least 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience; capable of independent work, strong communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT
- BLS by American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Minimum 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to teach/mentor NM staff
- Ability to operate NM equipment and ensure image quality
- Ability to perform preprocedural verification and Time Out process
- Able to obtain quality diagnostic study safely
