Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, GA. Performs a wide range of NM imaging procedures with independent judgment, ensuring patient safety, proper procedural setup, quality diagnostic studies, and adherence to department protocols. Responsibilities include patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration per protocol, accurate identification and marking, image review and release, emergency response readiness, equipment setup and maintenance, coordination with physicians and staff, documentation, and ongoing education. Requires AMA Nuclear Medicine program graduate and ARRT CNMT/ARRT NM licensure eligibility, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical NM experience; will work a Day shift (Thursday-Friday-Saturday, 7:00am-7:30pm).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA Nuclear Medicine Program - Required
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association - Required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients - Required
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience - Preferred
