Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, GA. The role focuses on performing NM exams per department procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring patient safety and privacy, and delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities include setup and operation of NM equipment, patient positioning, verifying clinician orders and patient identity, maintaining equipment, transmitting studies to PACS, providing clear patient communication using AIDET, and supporting departmental education and quality control. Requires AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program graduation, ARRT CNMT or CNMT certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience. The position is full-time with a Thursday–Saturday 7:00am–7:30pm shift, located in Douglasville, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure while collaborating in a team
- Ability to explain procedures and ensure patient understanding
- Ability to follow department protocols and safety procedures
- Knowledge and ability to obtain quality diagnostic studies safely
- Ability to operate NM equipment and perform a variety of technical procedures
