Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist needed for full-time, rotating 3-day shift (Thu-Fri-Sat, 7:00am-7:30pm) at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, GA. Responsible for performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine exams per department protocols, safely handling radiopharmaceuticals, preparing equipment and positioning patients, verifying orders and patient identity, ensuring image quality and timely PACS/RIS transmission, maintaining patient privacy and comfort, and supporting department education and quality control. Requires AMA Nuclear Medicine Program graduate and ARRT CNMT or CNMT license, and BLS; minimum 1 year of clinical nuclear medicine experience. Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and adherence to policies are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program - Required
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • BLS through American Heart Association - Required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients - Required
  • Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience - Preferred
  • Must exhibit excellent communication skills
  • Able to independently perform job functions
  • Sets up equipment and positions patient for the procedure
  • Ability to teach and mentor fellow NM staff if needed
