Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary
Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, set up and operate NM equipment, and position patients for diagnostic studies. Verify clinician orders, obtain complete clinical history, and ensure patient identification and safety. Review images for clinically acceptable results, document procedures, and participate in quality control and equipment maintenance. Maintain high standards of patient care, communicate with patients and staff, and assist with training of departmental personnel. Requires graduation from an AMA Nuclear Medicine Program, ARRT CNMT or equivalent certification, and BLS; minimum 1 year NM experience preferred. Schedule is Day shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (7:00am–7:30pm) at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA-accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in nuclear medicine
- Minimum 1 year NM experience preferred
