Job Summary
FT Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Wellstar Douglasville, GA; perform a wide range of nuclear medicine exams, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, set up imaging equipment, position patients, verify orders and patient identity, review and transmit images, and maintain patient comfort and safety. Requires AMA Nuclear Medicine Program completion, ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT, BLS, and at least 1 year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience. Responsibilities include ensuring QA, coordinating with radiology, handling patient queries, and upholding department procedures and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience - Preferred
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills
- Able to independently perform job functions
- Sets up equipment and positions patient for the procedure
