Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist role at Wellstar Douglas in Douglasville, GA. Performs a wide range of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, accuracy of studies, and adherence to department protocols. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, verifying orders, managing radiopharmaceutical administration, ensuring patient identification and privacy, reviewing images, maintaining equipment, and supporting other modalities as needed. Requires independent judgment, strong communication, ability to work under pressure, sterile techniques, venipuncture, and commitment to high-quality diagnostic imaging. Must have AMA Nuclear Medicine Program training with ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification and BLS; minimum 1 year clinical/NM experience. Day shift, full-time, with Thursday–Saturday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program
- ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience
