Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary
Perform all nuclear medicine exams and diagnostic studies by verifying orders, obtaining clinical histories, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients for procedures. Operate imaging equipment, ensure proper calibration, and maintain daily equipment cleaning and restocking. Review images for quality, release patients, and respond to emergencies while managing patient privacy and comfort. Transport patients, apply immobilization devices, and document all activities per hospital policy. Maintain Joint Commission standards, complete mandatory education, and assist colleagues as needed during the Monday-Friday 8a-4:30p shift.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT‐R – ARRT Radiography or CNMT – Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- BLS‐I – Basic Life Support Instructor or BLS – Basic Life Support or ARC‐BLS – American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting caring for patients (may include clinical rotations)
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills
- Must possess the ability to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment
- Must be able to prioritize appropriately
- Must be detail‐oriented and have the capacity to effectively multitask throughout the work shift
- Must possess the ability to function independently yet productively as a cooperative team member
- Must be compliant with all Hospital policies and the established practices, protocols and procedures of the position, department and applicable professional standards
- Must be able to explain or give directions to maintain goodwill and obtain cooperation with all contacts
- Must have the ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast‐paced work environment
- Must have excellent communication skills and the capacity to interact professionally with a variety of customers including patients, families, co‐workers, volunteers and physicians
