Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules while educating patients on procedures and equipment. Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals per established protocols. Monitor patient condition continually and report status changes. Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, and perform quality control procedures. Position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and resolve image quality issues. Enter and report scan results. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program
- Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
