Job Summary

Reviews patient history, physician orders, and schedules exams; educates patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals per established protocols. Monitors patient condition continually and reports status changes. Prepares equipment, selects exposure factors, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures. Positions patients, performs imaging procedures, analyzes results, and resolves image quality issues. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Full-time days shift with 80 hours per pay period.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
