Job Summary
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, operating cameras to map radiopharmaceuticals in patients to produce diagnostic images. Positions patients and selects anatomical/technical factors, administers radiopharmaceuticals per established protocols, and follows radiation safety guidelines. Ensures high-quality images and patient data are submitted to PACS, maintains equipment functionality, reports malfunctions, and assists in keeping the department clean and orderly. May perform other duties as assigned; flex scheduling and cross-training available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential or CNMT - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- BLS HealthCare Provider certification (AHA)
- State license or temporary accreditation as applicable (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin)
- Ability to obtain ARRT-N or CNMT credential within 6 months of hire
- No experience required
- Familiarity with radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and PACS image submission
