Job Summary
Assist the nuclear physician with the implementation of special imaging procedures, ensuring all tests are performed properly and results are valid prior to patient release. Calibrate the dose calibrator and perform QC procedures on gamma cameras, while explaining procedures to patients to ensure maximum comfort. Identify patients per hospital SOP, perform hot lab functions including receiving and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals, and accept special assignments from the supervisor. Adhere to standards established by hospital, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Must possess a current NJ State license
- ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT, certification preferred
