Job Summary
Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures while calibrating dose calibrators and performing QC on gamma cameras per departmental protocols. Explain procedures to patients, obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters, and perform all hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals in strict compliance with vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Ensure all tests are performed properly and results are valid before release, while identifying patients per hospital SOPs and accepting special assignments from the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Must possess a current NJ State license
- ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT, certification preferred
