Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs specialized imaging procedures with radioactive materials, calibrates and troubleshoots imaging equipment, and maintains patient records while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Collaborates with radiologists to review imaging results and stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology. Prospective hire undergoes pre-employment drug testing and may require a Physical Capacity Profile.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or equivalent credential
- Experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and performing diagnostic procedures
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and CT scanners, to capture diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during procedures
- Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols
- Document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology and best practices
