Job Summary
Conduct Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations by preparing, positioning, and scanning patients while administering radioactive isotopes and operating imaging equipment. Review each exam for technical accuracy, communicate pertinent data to the care team, and ensure patient identification and order consistency. Monitor supply inventory, maintain department policies regarding radiation safety and infection control, and utilize HIS and PACS systems for quality documentation. Requires two years of Nuclear Medicine experience, NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, and BLS. Hourly pay ranges from $44.64 to $61.60. This is a PRN or as-needed position at Vail Health's 56-bed hospital in Vail.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
- Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT(N))
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
- Must be HIPAA compliant
- Must be available for PRN or as needed position
