Job Summary

Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimum test results. Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under physician direction. Perform diagnostic exams including Cardiac PET CT studies, treadmill supervision, and IV initiation. Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors while following radiation safety techniques for material disposal. Maintain quality control of all equipment and safeguard patient health information privacy. Attend required meetings and perform related work as necessary. Required Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology
  • Must be registered with ARRT or NMTCB
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Must be confident with working independently in a very busy private cardiology practice setting

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience preferred not required
