Job Summary
Join our dedicated team at Thompson Health as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, performing crucial exams, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills, while supporting patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrates ability to perform IV injections/IV insertions (or equivalent skills and training)
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient
- The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of JCAHO and NYSDOH regulations for established radiation safety guidelines
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information
- Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives and lives the CARES values
- Six months experience in Nuclear Medicine testing in a health care facility required
Desired Qualifications
- Current, valid NMTCB or AART(N) certification
- Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire
- B.S. in Nuclear Medicine preferred
