Job Summary
Perform nuclear medicine procedures using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment, including computer processing of data to produce images for licensed practitioner interpretation. Exercise professional judgment in service delivery while maintaining medical ethics and appropriate care standards. Complete required training in an AMA approved radiologic technologist program and obtain National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist certification upon hire. Maintain National Provider BLS certification and possess six months of recent nuclear medicine experience or two years of full-time experience with no more than one year away from the specialty. Work full-time day shifts at Providence Little Company Of Mary Torrance Hospital in Torrance, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification upon hire
- National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine certification upon hire
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program)
