Job Summary
Perform patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician while calculating radioisotope dosages for administration. Operate radioscopic equipment and practice strict radiation safety protocols. Maintain certification through the California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or the National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist board upon hire. Complete an accredited nuclear medicine training program and hold current BLS certification. Requires six months of recent nuclear medicine experience or two years of full-time experience with no more than one year away from the field. Full-time variable shift schedule at Saint Johns Health Center in Santa Monica, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification
- National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
