Job Summary
Perform patient scans under physician supervision, calculate radioisotope dosages, and operate radioscopic equipment while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. Maintain certification in California Nuclear Medicine Technology and National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist standards, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Requires six months of recent nuclear medicine experience or two years of full-time experience with no more than one year of absence. Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technologist training program)
