Job Summary
Perform patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician, including calculating radioisotope dosages for administration and operating radioscopic equipment. Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols during all procedures. Maintain certification in National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist status, along with BLS certification. Requires six months of recent nuclear medicine experience or two years of full-time experience. Full-time variable shift schedule with on-site location at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technologist training program)
