Job Summary
Perform patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician while calculating radioisotope dosages for administration. Operate radioscopic equipment and practice strict radiation safety protocols during daily procedures. Maintain certification in nuclear medicine technology, BLS, and provider standards upon hire, with a requirement of six months recent experience or two years full-time experience. Work full-time on-site at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA, with a variable shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nuclear medicine training program
- California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technologist training program)
