Job Summary
Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals while performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures. Analyze studies to notify physicians of significant findings and operate, maintain equipment, and conduct radiation safety surveys, wipe tests, and dosimetry activities. Process images and documentation using PACS, VISTA, and CPRS systems. Manage scheduling, patient registration, and administrative duties, and train students and clinical staff. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs. Maintain active AHA BLS certification and complete required physical assessments. Various shifts available at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- NMTCB (CNMT) or ARRT (N) certification
- Maintain active AHA BLS certification
- Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year of proven clinical experience in a Level 1 hospital setting
