Job Summary

Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and prepare radiopharmaceuticals following department protocols to produce diagnostic images for radiologists. Administer radioactive agents, assess exam appropriateness, perform quality control on imaging and lab equipment, maintain equipment and work areas, document patient data and store images in RIS/PACS, and ensure compliance with NRC, OSHA, and related standards. Provide patient-centered care, supervise students, and collaborate with the radiology team to support diagnosis and treatment. Role may involve on-call shifts, night, weekend, and holiday coverage. Per diem engagement with compensation ranging from $39.50 to $59.41 per hour.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered with ARRT and/or NMTCB
  • CPR certification may be required
  • Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure
  • Required CT State License within 12 months of hire date
  • Associates or Applied Science Degree in related field
  • Venipuncture certificate
  • Knowledge of RIS/PACS
  • Experience in nuclear medicine technology (desirable)
  • Ability to react calmly in emergencies
  • Understanding of NRC, OSHA, TJC standards
