Job Summary
Prepare patients and operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic scans and therapeutic procedures. Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications as ordered by physicians, delivering quality care to pediatric through adult patients using critical thinking and professional judgment. Maintain continuous standing, sitting, and walking capabilities while performing frequent tasks in confined spaces and overhead areas. Work rotating shifts and overtime as required within the Medical University of South Carolina health system.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program
- Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from the NMTCB or Registered Technologist (RT (N)) from ARRT or registry eligible with a B.S. or B.A.
- If registry eligible, must obtain certification within 12 months
- Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider

Desired Qualifications
- 0-2 years of modality specific experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- B.S. or B.A. (if registry eligible)
