Job Summary

Perform scintigraphic scanning as prescribed by physicians, manipulate images for quantitative studies, and archive patient data. Prepare radioactive and non-radioactive materials for patient doses while maintaining quality control and radiation survey statistics. Consult with radiologists to show images and provide quality data for interpretation. Administer diagnostic or therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction and demonstrate sensitivity to patient needs through education and monitoring. Operate imaging devices, computers, ECG units, and radiation survey instruments as part of the float pool. Variable schedule with as-needed hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • DL-HC - Driver's License only if in a Home Care department - Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Graduate of approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • ODH Radiologic License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • BLS Certification
  • Familiarity with all aspects of a fully-equipped Nuclear Medicine department
  • Extensive knowledge of handling, administering radioactive materials
  • Knowledge of nuclear instrumentation and its use
  • Experienced Technologist with the skills necessary to work in full service Nuclear Medicine department
