Job Summary
Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using radioisotope equipment. Calculate doses for radiologists, subject patients to radiation, and execute blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, document radioactive material usage, and survey facilities per departmental procedures. Obtain patient information and disseminate preparation instructions to care areas while elevating significant challenges to senior staff. Requires a Nuclear Medicine diploma or certificate, ARRT/NMTCB certification, and state licensure. Full-time day shift position at Adventist Health Sonora in Sonora, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- State Nuclear Medicine License in CA and HI
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in CA and OR
- Venipuncture certification in CA and HI
- ARRT or NMTCB certification
- Venipuncture (IV) certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
