Job Summary
Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using radioisotope equipment. Calculate doses for radiologists, prepare stock solutions, and execute blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, document radioactive material usage, and survey facilities. Obtain patient information and disseminate preparation instructions to care areas. Elevate clinical questions to senior staff for direction. Requires a Nuclear Medicine diploma or preferred Bachelor's degree, plus state and facility licenses. Full-time day shift position at Adventist Health Sonora in Murphys, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- State Nuclear Medicine License in CA and HI
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in CA and OR
- Venipuncture certification in CA and HI
- ARRT or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB) certification
- Venipuncture (IV) certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
