Job Summary
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and radiation intravenously to detect or treat diseases using radioisotope equipment. Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials, calculate doses, and execute blood volume, red cell survival, and fat absorption studies. Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation, document radioactive material usage, and coordinate patient flow while maintaining quality control. Elevate clinical questions to senior staff for direction. Requires a Nuclear Medicine diploma/certificate, State Nuclear Medicine License, and ARRT or NMTCB certification. Full-time day shift position at Adventist Health Sonora.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine
- State Nuclear Medicine License in CA and HI
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in CA and OR
- Venipuncture certification in CA and HI
- ARRT or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB) certification
- Venipuncture (IV) certification
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
