Nuclear Medicine Technologist (FT-Day), Somerville NJ

Conduct hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals while adhering to vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate dose calibrators and perform quality control procedures on gamma cameras, notify leads of malfunctions, and identify patients before procedures. Explain procedures to patients, ensure maximum comfort, and obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters. Validate test results prior to release, assist physicians with special imaging procedures, and maintain a clean department. Accept special assignments, respond to instruction from peers or superiors, and work overtime when needed.
