Nuclear Medicine Technologist (FT-Day), Somerville NJ

Conduct all hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals per vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate the dose calibrator, perform QC procedures on gamma cameras, and notify the lead tech of any malfunctions. Identify patients before procedures, explain techniques clearly, obtain optimal images using prescribed parameters, and ensure test validity prior to release. Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures, maintain a clean department, and accept special assignments from supervision. Adhere to hospital, state, and federal standards while performing other duties as prescribed by supervisory personnel.
