Job Summary
Conduct all hot lab functions including receiving, using, and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals while adhering to vendor, departmental, and DEP regulations. Calibrate the dose calibrator, perform gamma camera quality control, and notify the lead technologist of any malfunctions. Identify patients per hospital SOP, explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort, and obtain optimal images using prescribed technical parameters. Assist the nuclear physician with special imaging procedures and ensure all test results are valid and accurate before release. Maintain a clean department environment, accept special assignments, and perform other duties as prescribed by supervisory personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- PET Experience a Plus
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Must possess a current NJ State license, ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification
- Day Shift, 40 hours/week
- Full Time Schedule
- Works overtime when needed
