Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical therapeutic administrations using Nuc Med and/or PET/CT equipment; reviews orders and patient history, administers IV radiopharmaceuticals, conducts pregnancy testing when applicable, ensures imaging quality and data transfer to PACS, and may lead or coordinate in absence. Requires CNMT and/or NMTCB certification within 1 year, BLS within 30 days, and an Illinois Radiologic Technologist license; responsibilities include workflow in imaging departments, cross-training in modalities, and adherence to department protocols, safety, and regulatory requirements. Location: Champaign County, IL (onsite). Training and certification trajectory and cross-functional duties across radiology modalities are included.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) within 1 year - NMTCB
  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year - NMTCB
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
