Job Summary
Assist the nuclear physician with the implementation of special imaging procedures while calibrating the dose calibrator and performing QC procedures on gamma cameras. Assure that all tests are performed properly and obtain best possible images by using prescribed technical parameters. Explain procedures to patients clearly, perform hot lab functions including receiving and discarding radio-pharmaceuticals, and identify patients per SOP before starting any procedure. Adhere to standards established by hospital, state, and federal regulatory agencies. Complete special assignments from the supervisor on time.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Must possess a current NJ State license
- ARRT and/or NMTCB
- BLS certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist preferred
- NMTCB Fusion Certification or ARRT R, CT, certification preferred
