Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist I (PRN) performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. Responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating gamma cameras and PET scanners, ensuring radiation safety, conducting quality control, maintaining regulatory documentation, and collaborating with Radiologists and Cardiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging and quality patient care. Provides patient and family instructions, ensures proper documentation in the EMR, and adheres to NRC/state regulations and facility policies. Requires knowledge of radiopharmacology, imaging procedures, safety protocols, and effective communication and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience performing nuclear medicine procedures in a clinical or hospital setting required
- 2-4 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
- (N) ARDMS or ARRT - Nuclear Med Tech required
- NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
