Job Summary
Accountable for the preparation and administration of radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes; perform Nuclear Medicine procedures using gamma cameras, proper injection techniques, IV administration of radiopharmaceuticals, patient positioning and instruction, and selecting imaging techniques/protocols to complete exams in collaboration with the clinical team at St. James Hospital. Must prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent when necessary, and ensure regulations are followed. Requires an Associate Degree or equivalent, ARRT NM or NMTCB CNMT certification, and BLS, with 20 hours per week in a part-time capacity at St. James Hospital in Butte, MT (and Newark, NJ listing as applicable site). Typical duties include receiving patients, explaining examinations, maintaining patient history, radiopharmaceutical preparation, and adherence to state/federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or a minimum of one (1) year related experience and/or training
- Current ARRT (R) (NM) or NMTCB as CNMT registry
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
