Job Summary
Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and software to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment while ensuring radiation safety and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide emotional support. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Maintain state licensure and achieve NMTCB or ARRT (N) registry eligibility within two months of hire. Work full-time days shifts at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, with no weekends or call.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine
- required clinical hours have been completed
- State licensure
- NMTCB or ARRT (N)
- Registry eligible (achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge in operating imaging equipment and using imaging software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images
- Skilled in effectively communicating with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support
- Ability to communicate and work effectively within a healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
